Group Academics

Grades 3-8

What is Group Academics?

Wildflower Learning Center Group Academics is a group learning program for children who are homeschooled. We accept children with disabilities, neurodiverse learners and neurotypical peers.  Group Academics addresses academic skills in all core areas as well as executive functioning, language and social skills. Classes are taught by special education teachers and speech and language pathologists with occupational therapy support.

Communication is Our Foundation

We believe that communication amongst a child’s team (parents, caregivers, therapists, tutors etc) is critical to their success. All groups and classes incorporate parent training and support as well as consistent communication on topics learned and strategies taught. Our Group Academics program utilizes frequent teacher team meetings and consistent communication.

Homerooms

Neuroaffirming Approach

We believe in building functional communication, autonomy and independence. Our goal is to teach our learners to know themselves and their needs and to become their own advocates.

Wildflower Workshop

Wildflower Workshop offers learning in small groups that provide targeted enrichment, taught by Group Academics staff. Pick and choose the blocks your learner needs. Add on to Group Academics, or join us for Wildflower Workshop only.
